The North State Building Industry Association's Government Affairs department works on behalf of the industry as a whole, advocating for public policies that promote a healthy building climate so that well planned communities continue to grow ensuring that the region's housing needs are met.

The Government Affairs team is actively engaged in the greater Sacramento region, advocating for sound public policy in Amador, Butte, El Dorado, Glenn, Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba Counties.
Our legislative advocates are responsible for the BIA's coverage area and are assigned to specific jurisdictions. They receive input and direction from Builder/Developer Councils made up of BIA members with particular interests and expertise on critical issues.
